[chuug] Question for all users of Microsoft Exchange Servers

I am at Liberty University and I use Thunderbird for my email client. I
loathe logging into webmail everytime I want to check my email and since
Thunderbird does not have a way to receive email that is set up as an
Exchange Server. Currently Thunderbird (even with 2.0 Beta) does not
support Microsoft Exchange Servers. I was, however, able to set up the
account with internalmail.liberty.edu which I read about on a facebook group
for liberty linux peeps. It wasn't until today when a professor said he
didn't get any of my emails that I had something set up wrong. I am able to
receive, but cannot send out and a call to the tech support yielded nothing
(no surprise) but awe and shock that I would use something that wasn't
branded with Microsoft's wonderful trademark. Is there anybody out there
that can help me with my Thunderbird woes? I know this isn't specifically a
Linux question, but I wonder what I would do if I had my linux box here on
campus?

Any help would be appreciated.

Josh
