Description:
Scope: Perform UNIX System and Database Administration for the
increasing number of Oracle and SQL Server based business systems being
deployed. This position is critical to meet the increased system
security monitoring requirements levied on both the US and Commercial
business systems by Corporate audit, IT audit, Sarbanes-Oxley, and
HIPAA. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of IBM midrange
software, Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server database administration,
systems administration, problem determination and resolution and
capacity planning. Strong organizational and communications skills are
also required. Familiarity with microcomputers and platform connectivity
is desired. In addition, the candidate must possess good human relations
skills to work closely with and maintain a working relationship with
other departments in order to accomplish common goals. Knowledge and
Background Requirements: This job requires a B.S. in Computer Science,
or related discipline, or equivalent job experience and three to six
(3-6) years of experience with systems support on the Company's business
applications platform and a proven history of leadership and technical
ability. Security Clearance Required.
