[iaufwg] ADASS FITS BoF minutes

Dear IAU-FITS Working Group members,

For your information, the minutes from the FITS Birds of a Feather 
session at the ADASS meeting last October are attached to this message 
(a PDF file).  Of particular interest is the poll that was taken that
showed that ~90% of the attendees were in favor of seriously considering
ways to overcome the 8-character keyword name limit and other 
limitations in the FITS format.

This appears to be a hot topic that we might want to study at some point 
(but I'm not suggesting that we take any specific actions right now).
