Dear IAU FWG members,
The public comment period on the CONTINUE long string keyword
convention, which started 11 July 2007, has closed. All the comments
related to improving the description of this convention have been
incorporated into the latest version of the description document. Since
there appears to be no objections to adding this convention to the
registry, I have moved it from the "Under review" category into the
"registered" category on the Registry web page at
http://fits.gsfc.nasa.gov/fits_registry.html. As always, feel free to
raise any questions or concerns about this action.
This only leaves the ESO HIERARCH keyword convention in the "under
review" category of the registry. I hope to produce a new version of
the description document about this convention within the next couple of
weeks, to address the few issues that were raised during the comment period.
The next convention that is planned to be submitted to the registry
later this month is the EURO3D convention for storing spectral data.
regards,
Bill
