Ah, this was covered in the text of WCS 1 in section 2.1.4 in the
first paragraph, but the string CRPIX does not occur anywhere near
that paragraph.

Following that paragraph it may be prudent also to echo that an integer
value of CRPIXja refers to the center of a given pixel (in cases where
the model for pixel coordinates admits pixels with extent).
